What a correction involves
One-step enhancement
A single polishing stage. Removes most light marring and lifts gloss noticeably — the sensible choice on newer paint.
Multi-stage correction
Cutting stage followed by refining stages. For older or heavily swirled paint where one pass will not reach the bottom of the defects.
Decontamination
Iron removal and clay before any machine touches the paint. Polishing over embedded grit grinds it in.
Paint depth reading
Measured before and during, so we know how much clear coat there is to work with.
Headlight restoration
Yellowed, hazed lenses cut back and sealed.

Correction is a result rather than a product, so it carries no film warranty. What protects it afterwards — coating or film — is where the coverage sits. Terms come from the warranty document once the bracketed items are settled.

Is correction permanent?
The defects that come out do not come back — but new ones arrive from washing. That is why correction is normally paired with a coating, which makes the car easier to wash safely and slows the return of marring.
Will it remove every scratch?
